What Is BodyTite?
BodyTite is a body contouring method celebrated for its impressive skin-tightening capabilities. The procedure utilizes a small cannula that is inserted through a small entry point in the skin. Attached to this cannula is a circular disc placed on the skin’s surface. Radiofrequency energy is transmitted from the internal electrode cannula to the external disc, gently heating the fat and surrounding tissues. Once the fat has been liquefied, it is removed through liposuction. The radiofrequency energy penetrates the dermis layer, triggering skin contraction and tightening in the targeted area.

For convenience, we offer consultations for BodyTite in our Petoskey office. The BodyTite procedure is performed under local anesthesia in our accredited surgical facility in Traverse City. For greater comfort, we do also offer IV sedation. To prepare for the procedure, a tumescent solution comprising a low concentration of Lidocaine and saline is injected to numb the area and reduce bruising by constricting blood vessels. The entry points for BodyTite are small, around 2 mm in diameter, often requiring just a bandaid for closure. These tiny entry points generally do not lead to noticeable scarring.
